Council Tax – methods of payment.

Following a decision taken by the Royal Borough not to accept cheques , these are the methods open to residents to pay their Council Tax.

This has been advertised via various channels i.e. on social media, in Around the Royal Borough and in the Council Tax leaflet and on the reverse of each Council Tax bill.

These are alternative methods of payment available:

There is a limited amount of information on the reverse of the bill but the payment card will allow payment to be made by cheque but at the Post Office. To clarify further details regarding the use of the Payment Card:

· The card can be used at any Post Office or outlet displaying the PayPoint logo.

· Post Office will accept payments via cash, cheque or debit card.

· PayPoint will accept payments via cash. A debit card may be accepted in exceptional circumstances and is purely at the discretion of the retailer who may insist on a fee to take that payment. We therefore advise that PayPoint is cash only.

· No payments will be accepted via credit card.

Customers who do not have internet access can contact RBWM Customer Services to order a payment card.
