volunteering event Saturday (7 March) on the Common and Colenorton Brooks

In the light of the recent rainfall, the plan for this months work party is to check the Colenorton and Common watercourses are running well and action any emergency debris removal, whilst keeping as dry and warm as possible. We’re also linking with Wild Eton and Eton Wick to launch Eton Wick River Rangers, which is a programme of surveys that will help both groups anticipate how to assist in the maintenance of watercourses around our village.

We will be meeting as before at Bell lane by the green on the banks of the Common Brook at 10am, and anticipate completion earlier than usual at around 11.30, finishing with our usual hot drinks and a chat.

So we hope to see you there on Saturday if you are able to join us. It will make an interesting change to hear about and practice for the River Ranger initiative ready for further action in the spring and summer period.

We will add this as an event on facebook if you wish to sign up or just turn up on the day.
