RBWM Community Testing up and running

Our community testing, for people in public facing jobs who cannot work from home, has been up and running since last Monday and is going well.

In the first three days, we tested 593 people and found four positive cases. During the next few weeks, we’ll be increasing our testing to 17,000 tests per week at our testing sites in Braywick and Windsor Leisure Centres. Find out about our community testing and how to book online.

This government-funded programme is aimed at people in public facing jobs they cannot do at home. With one in three infected people not knowing they have the virus and unwittingly spreading it, community testing helps find these asymptomatic cases to stop the virus in its tracks.

People who live near Bracknell Forest’s border, or Royal Borough residents who work in Bracknell, can book their tests for there if it’s easier: Rapid testing for COVID-19 | Bracknell Forest Council (bracknell-forest.gov.uk)

I attach a few social media assets you might want to use. Our social media campaign about community testing has been live all week if it’s easier for you to repost these. For technical reasons, we cannot embed their direct links in this email, but you can find them all here:

· Twitter – @RBWM

· Facebook – RBWM

If you do share any of our messaging, it would be helpful if you fill in our form so we can track how far this information travels.

If you know anyone who’d like to join our Community Information Champions gang, please ask them to email their details to:volunteer@rbwm.gov.uk.

Again, thank you for your help. We couldn’t do this without you.

Best wishes,
